Step 1: Make the Intention

Step 2: Recite the Talbiyah

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ
Transliteration
Labbayka Allahumma labbayk. Labbayka la sharika laka labbayk. Innal hamda wan-ni’mata laka wal-mulk. La sharika lak.
English Translation
“Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am; You have no partner. Here I am. Surely all praise, blessings, and dominion belong to You. You have no partner.”
Step 3: Dua Upon Seeing the Kaaba
Seeing the Kaaba for the first time is the most emotional and spiritually reviving experience for the believers. There is no authentic dua specifically prescribed for this instance. رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Transliteration
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.
English Translation
“Our Lord, grant us good in this world, good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
Step 5: Two Rakahs After Tawaf
Every pilgrim prays two rakat prayers after Tawaf at Maqam-e-Ibrahim. This is the time to make duas and show your thankfulness to the Almighty.
Step 6: Drinking Zamzam Water
Zamzam water is a sacred water with endless blessings. The Prophet (SAW) said that Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for. Therefore, before you drink the water, make a beneficial dua. You can ask Allah for health, wealth, guidance, healing, and a righteous family.
Step 7: Dua Before Sa’i

إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ
Transliteration
Inna as-Safa wal-Marwata min sha’airillah.

“Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah.”
Then say:
Abda’u bima bada’a Allahu bih.
“I begin with what Allah began with.”
Step 8: Dua on Safa and Marwa
Face the Ka’bah, raise your hands, and recite:

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
Followed by:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
English Translation
“There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, without a partner. His is the dominion, His is all praise, and He has power over all things.”

After finishing Sa’i:
- Men shave or trim their hair (shaving is more rewarding).
