The path between Safa and Marwa runs through the Mas’a, a long enclosed corridor inside Masjid al-Haram. The corridor has multiple levels, so pilgrims may perform Sa’i on the ground floor, the first floor, or the second floor depending on the crowd.
Within the Safa Marwa distance, there are two green fluorescent light markers known as Milayn al-Akhdharayn (the two green mileposts).
